Northrop Grumman finalizes $2B Virginia IT contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. has finalized its 10-year information technology infrastructure partnership contract with the commonwealth of Virginia, the company said Wednesday.

The contract is valued at about $2 billion and includes cost reimbursable, fixed-price and fixed-unit pricing provisions. In the interim phase of the contract, Northrop has been supporting the Virginia Information Technologies Agency in its IT infrastructure transformation of 91 executive branch agencies.

Northrop is Virginia's largest non-retail private employer with nearly 32,000 employees in the commonwealth. The company also provides information technology services to several local Virginia governments, including Roanoke and Stafford counties.

Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) is a global defense company with about 125,000 employees and operations in all 50 states and 25 countries.
