Northrop Grumman Corp. Chairman Ronald D. Sugar told 500 workers in Richmond yesterday that those state employees who switched to Northrop will be urged to move into other IT positions within the company.Strange that an article aimed at being positive towards the deal would have that particular dark phrase in it. Twice. Many of those 500 state employees feared that they would be "urged" to leave state service. I'm afraid that the result will be the good state employees will migrate to non-state work, and the only workers left to work state IT will be the ones who do state work, not because they enjoy public service, but because they aren't any good at anything the private sector wants.
