General Assembly: Do The Gays Vote?

House committee approves gay marriage amendment

RICHMOND, Va. - A House of Delegates committee on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment making it clear that marriage is a union between a man and a woman.

Pardon me for being open-minded, but why does the General Assembly have to waste time on things like this? Who does it hurt if two men or two women decide to get married?

It threatens our way of life. Didn't you get the memo?

lol
It reminds me of when Frank Zappa was testifying before congress about rock lyrics influencing violence in teens. He pointed out that he wrote a song about dental floss, but it never improved anyone's oral hygeine.

Just another example of so called politicians who are unfamilar with the Constitution... The bill entails not recognizing the legitimateness of Gay marriage in states where such is permitted. There is such a thing as the Reciprocity of States, which means Virginia by law has to recognize the legitimateness of other states laws, otherwise we'd need a driving license in every state we might choose to drive through... Too bad most of these religious idiots haven't had the chance to live in Iran before they turn the U.S. into the Christian equivialent.
