VITA workers get incentives
Northrop Grumman to let new employees transfer unused leave

Northrop Grumman and the state are sweetening their inducements for VITA workers to join the company.

The global defense and IT company will give Virginia Information Technologies Agency workers two more weeks to decide if they want to leave state employ and join the giant contractor.

"The time period for the offer was extended just to give the employees more time to make the best decision for them and for their families," a Northrop Grumman spokesman said.

And VITA employees joining Northrop Grumman will also be able to transfer unused state annual leave to the company or have the state pay them for the accrued time off.
